During my past travels, I often found myself traveling to Moscow, along with many Russian tourists on their way back from shopping in Milan. They were on this Sunday evening return flight with plenty of shopping bags covered with logos from the famous Italian brands.
A Russian colleague explained that middle-class Russians go to Turkey to shop while the higher classes go to Milan or Paris. Many of these people would never buy a fashion product without the logo of a famous brand on it. For many of them, the brand name means that the quality is 100% assured. The price also seems to be right.
But there is another group of people, those real connoisseurs of fashion who appreciate the best quality and do not pay attention to whether the product has a well-known logo.
These are the actual quality lovers who merely show off, but care about their comfort and appreciate a product for excellence.
These people do not care about famous brands but care about having an item made out of the highest value of raw materials. They are looking for unique, one-of-a-kind masterpieces and can appreciate the fact that these creations are real gems.
Many ordinary fashion lovers coming to Milan will go to the famous via Montenapoleone to find the biggest and most recognized brands. Still, only a few will go to the city's lesser-known areas to look for the small boutiques, which are usually on the side streets.
In those areas, one can find unique products created using the best raw materials, the highest craftsmanship, and personal care by small-scale Italian artisans.
But this is pretty high-grade stuff, only for those true fashion connoisseurs.

It had been a really hot summer and was about 43°C/109.4°F in the evening when, after a long journey from Marche, passing through Perugia, I finally arrived in Florence.
I had agreed to meet Giovanna, the Monnaluna Fashion Accessories Brand owner, a dynamic, elegant, and beautiful woman.
I walked through the center of this beautiful city of art, crossing the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge on my way to Pitti Palace. In July, Florence was utterly full of life, and there were tourists everywhere. I arrived in Pitti Square, where, besides the famous museum in Pitti Palace, you can find the most important European institute for art, fashion, and design.
This was the perfect place to find this unique brand. In the end, I found myself on a very picturesque narrow street where I came across an Italian artistic boutique with magnificent jewelry, bags, and shoes on display in the shop window. This was the Monaluna boutique.
Giovanna welcomed me like an old friend. Even though she was very busy, she was very curious to learn about our project and my journey across Italy hunting for unique handmade masterpieces created by Italian artisans.
Giovanna expressed a lot of enthusiasm for her artwork. She is a goldsmith making unique pieces of jewelry. She then set out on a new challenge as a bag designer and creator of unusual shoes with Swarovski crystals attached to them. I was genuinely impressed by her masterpieces.
Starting with beautiful highest quality handmade bijou with Swarovski crystals created personally by Giovanna, and finishing with the bags and shoes. When I touched the products, I could feel the quality and the uniqueness of their design.
Giovanna also showed me her goldsmith laboratory located under the boutique. She and her husband create jewelry with their own hands.
She also told me about all of the challenges that a small artisan faces when going up against the big players. But, at the same time, I could feel a lot of positive energy from her and sense the great joy that this work brings to her.
I could feel all of that love and passion translated into her masterpieces.
I felt like I was coming back out of the magical world of art, history, and passion. I knew we would become friends.

Throughout my years of living in Italy, I needed to learn that. Small differences, attention to detail, and a delicate touch change everything. Whether it’s in an outfit’s design or the creation of a business strategy, Italians are the most creative, out-of-the-box thinkers.
Black elegance for the evening? George Clooney wears a black Armani suit whilst doing ads for espresso - a stylish actor in his villa in Bellagio surrounded by the picturesque Como Lake.
This is the charm of Made in Italy and is something I really love. It’s not only about an outfit or shoes, but rather the whole story behind that small cup of coffee.
Everywhere I have traveled, people would always smile when I said that I live in Italy. It really is a beautiful country with people that are so creative and so unique which is rarely found elsewhere.
It is incredibly difficult to find one reason why people love Italy, but there is definitely this magic about the beautiful, romantic cities, the fantastic valleys with both discovered and undiscovered regions, the delicious food and local people who know how to make a difference to their outfits by wearing - or adjusting - a small detail.
That is Italy: So stylish and the most beautiful country in the world!

In today’s very consumption-oriented times, your dress and how you present yourself is saying a lot about you. I am not talking about mega-expensive brand clothing, but about how you match the elements of your outfit to the meeting in which you participate.
For example, during an interview, regardless of the style of the company or the loose behavior of its managers, it is better to be overdressed than underdressed.
Coming to an interview in jeans or a leather jacket may be seen as a sign of disrespect. On the other hand, dressing in a super elegant outfit while colleagues invite you to a beer may be mistaken as snobbish.
So what’s the golden rule? Well, I will tell you, there are some ways to dress up ‘safely’ and to suit every occasion.
When you get an invitation to the Gala, an official business meeting or a conference, do not be shy to ask about dress code; it helps to avoid situations when, for example, it turns out that the evening has to end in a pub and you are in a tuxedo.
When it comes to interviews, dressing up, and preparing for an interview, it shows the employer's effort, time, and attention of the candidate devoted to doing well at the meeting. The employer usually appreciates this.
When I do not know what to wear, I usually choose black – it is always elegant, but also neutral, but I will write about colors in one of my next articles.

]]>We must say that living in Italy is undoubtedly fun. The country is beautiful, and Italians have great style when it comes to their clothing.
For fashion lovers and guys who do not know how to dress, Milan is a great place to be and learn the style. It is enough to wander around the streets of Milan and to observe the people; each age has its own fashion street style.
If you happen to be around at noon when some high school students finish their classes, you will see crowds of teenagers. This will allow you to quickly understand what the current fashion trends are among them. They take care to be fashionable and trendy when it comes to their dress.
We want to share some of these hints and tips on the lifestyle of Milan, the fashion capital of Europe :-)
